Archaeology in the Puuc Hills of Northern Yucatan, Mexico
Professor Seligson and CSUDH students are investigating some of the earliest agricultural communities in the hilly Puuc region of the northern Yucatan Peninsula. Working with colleagues from other universities in the US and Mexico, the team is using airborne laser scanning technology to help identify the hundreds of ancient Maya sites that date to as far back as 1000 BCE. We will use this page to update everyone in real time about how the investigations are unfolding!
